THE STORY
I started this academy by teaching the French Couture Jacket Sewing Course as a retreat in my hometown Edam, The Netherlands.
On the first day of this retreat, I always take my students to Amsterdam where we visit the best (Italian) fabric store in town to find the best of the best when it comes to wool woven Chanel fabrics. Also, the quality of the satin silks for the lining is a whole new experience for everyone. Imagine, This combination of the best quality wool and satin silk, enhanced with a 100% silk organza in between the layers is something that no-one has experienced wearing ever before.
It is warm, light, luxurious and has a perfect drape because of the organza as an interfacing.
Next to that, the feeling of the silk satin against your skin is a whole different level of comfort!
It is always such a great pleasure to introduce these kinds of fabrics and materials to my students, and to have them experience the fantastic results just by using these couture quality fabrics in combination with the couture sewing techniques I teach in this course.

If you want to purchase a box, you can choose between different styles and fabrics:
The pink wool tweed comes with a beautiful cream silk satin lining and a cream trim, the black & black-dark blue fabrics come with a dusty, old rose colored pink silk satin lining. All the other fashion fabrics come with a beautiful rich cream silk satin lining.
Next, you can choose your style by choosing a gold, or silver finish for your buttons and metal chain. If you choose for gold, there are even two options, solid gold colored or gold - pearl colored buttons.
All buttons come in two different sizes for the different usage on the jacket (sleeves and pockets).
