This box truely contains everything you need, to create your dream French Couture Jacket.
You can choose one of two versions: A soft pink melée wool jacket with a cream silk lining, or a sparky black bouclé jacket with an old rose pink silk lining. Also you can choose wheter you want a gold or silver finishing (buttons and metal chain).

100% premium silk satin lining that feels like a dream against your skin, adding an extra touch of luxury to your creation.
High quality Gütermann thread matching the colors of the outer fabric and the lining.
Delicate 100% silk organza, used as interfacing to give your jacket structure and finesse and strips of horsehair to enhance the seams.
Carefully crafted A0 patterns varying from European size 32 to 48, so you can make this jacket for others too, plus a Cotton muslin fabric for making a test garment first.

ABOUT THE SEWING PROCESS
You will be guided through the couture sewing process in 6 easy-to-follow modules,
starting with choosing the right pattern size.
Next, you will learn how to make a test garment in cotton first, so you can adapt the size
to a perfect fit on your personal body type. You will be guided through the process as an
easy breeze.
Then the real work begins, cutting and quilting the jacket panels, enhancing the hems
with horsehair and handsewing the silk lining, all according to the briljant techniques
invented by Madame Coco Chanel herself!

THE STORY
I started the French Couture Jacket Sewing Course as a retreat in my hometown Edam, The Netherlands.
People from all over the world join me, willing to pay a minimum of €3500 for a week of learning the French Couture jacket. This amount covers my teaching, their hotel or accommodation in Edam, and the purchase of fabrics and materials for their jacket. Additionally, they book their own airplane tickets to get here.
Unfortunately, not everyone is able to join me during these retreats here in the
Netherlands.
For those who are unable to join me live, this box is invented.

CHOOSE YOUR FABRIC AND STYLE
If you want to purchase a box, you can choose between two different styles and fabrics:
The pink wool tweed comes with a beautiful cream silk satin lining and a cream trim, and the classic black bouclé comes with a dusty, rose pink silk satin lining and a black sequin trim.
Next, you can choose your style by choosing a gold, or silver finish for your buttons and metal chain. If you choose for gold, there are even two options, solid gold or gold - pearl buttons.
All buttons come in two different sizes for the different usage on the jacket (sleeves and pockets).
